Points of Interest:
Pendower Treviskey Nare Head
Rosen Cliff Gull Rock Portloe Village
Portholland Village

General:
Parked car at West Portholland by stoney beach as directed by workmen
rebuilding stone wall in closed road. Cycled to Pendower Beach car park
by Vernon Village. Long steep walk from car to Treviskey at 103 meters
height above sea level. Road through verge cut through two matching
roundhouses, unique. Single track lane down to car park so steep I got
off my bike and walked downhill, felt much safer. Spoke to a keen cyclist
from Birmingham while walking downhill. Locked bike to car park fence
and spoke to young chap from Bristol living in a old bread van in car park.
He said he would keep an eye on my bike, which he did. Walked on top of
a cliff above Pendower and Carne beaches with a big detour around their
Hotel. Short road section before returning to an undulating cliff section 2
summit of Nare Head where a rare sheep was spotted. Beautiful scenery
across a calm sea to coastland stretching towards Falmouth. Magnificent
cliffs around Nare Head, some razor sharp, and some sheer especially
Rosen Cliff. Excellent view of Gull Rock from summit of Nare Head. To me
the rock reminds me of a Cornish pasty. Onwards to Portloe village along
a very rugged coastline with several bays and high cliffs. Lovely village
nestled in the sheltered valley with a small beach and harbour, slight
detour through Village from path. Further high cliffs and bays from
Portloe to Tregenna footbridge and beyond a car at west Portholland
Village. Strenuous section of the walk and a strenuous bike ride.
