Points of Interest:
AA Walks Devils Bridge River Tarenig
General:
Third walk of the day. Started with long road walk from Devil's bridge to St John's Church very little traffic on road at 5:30pm, but care required. Small bench seat at point '5' broken, top of zigzags, with skelton of fox circled with stones besides bench. Very deep gorges spanned by a new parson's bridge. Continue on slope uphill. Path diverted around field at '7' to avoid farm and main track. Follow path below track to gate and across field to ruined cottage. At point '13' turn right, no red paint visible. Track from '14' very steep directly down hill with loose shale. Foot bridge at '16' after small waterfalls. Good views of discussed mines on side on deep gorge from '17'. Very steep ascent just before '18' through mature dense pine forest. Footpath officially diverted to right just prior to '18', preventing walkers from following railway track. New path crosses railway track with gates either side and sharp angled strips of wood to discourage pedestrians from walking up or down track. New footpath alongside railway, although up and down from '18' to '22' Railway station closed and deserted at 7:30pm, no trains running unfortunately.

Location Map: - www.streetmap.co.uk
Start & Finish: At Recommended car park empty & issolated. Parked car around the corner on A4120.

Hazards:
Always walk on right handside of the road facing on-coming traffic when there is no footpath.
