Points of Interest:
AA Walks Plynlimon River Tarenig
General:
1400ft ascent with this walk. Second walk of the day. No footpath sign visible and could not find start of the walk, so we climbed a couple of fences to track onto Plynlimon, circling farm. Easy walking up track to old mine workings. Track from '4' very difficult to find, no cairns, head for the ridge. Better track to ''5'. Summit at approx same height as surrounding tops, brilliant views to hills in all directions. Cadair to north, Hey Buff, Sugar Loaf, Breacon Beacons, wind farms & reservoirs. Coast visible from tip of Lleyn to approximate Fishguard. Watched fighter sets (two) fly from north tight around Brecon Beacons. For descent, follow fence on right to recently constructed wide track. At approx '7' follow track to farm past heaps of shale (for newly laid track). Track will probably form logging road if tree's are planted. Greeted by barking free running alsatian dogs at the farm, skirted main drive and crossed locked gates to the road.

Location Map: - www.streetmap.co.uk
Start & Finish: At Eisteddfa-Gurig Farm on A44.

Hazards:
Always carry a map, where confusion on paths occur.
