104 miles to 112.5 miles.
I parked the car half way up the hill at Pentre. Although I attempted to ask for permission to park, I couldn't get any answer from the house. From the car it was a steep climb to the start of the walk and a further climb to Beacon Ring. There were telecomms masts by the water works, just after ring embankment. After Cwmdingle Plantation there was a steep descent. I had some difficulty finding the way round Stone House. There were wheat/oats fields at the bottom of the hill, luckily it wasn't raining as I would have been soaked. Dogs from the School House tried to terrorise me as I crossed the field towards the house. Between the railway and river bridges there were horses in the field. Just after the road bridge unusual flowers could be seen by the river bank. In the canal bank there were tall, yellow orchid-like flowers with reed leaves. There was a cantilever bridge over the canal, lowered by pulling a chain. On the embankment by the river there was a large dragonfly. Bike back to the car at 8:15pm.
Hazards:
Care is required by the River Severn as banks were steep and also by the canal, especially by the lock at Lock Cottage.
