Description:
Left Sylvia reading book at car park. Started and finished from point '10'. Couple with dogs by river after '11' having picnic and being harassed by another small dog. River walk upto forge valley now boarded from meadow all the way to bridge by car park. Care on road between car parks to '2' no path and sharp bends. At '2' car park take path sharp right not path half right as marked way on descriptive map. Wrong track, therefore no spring found. Climber track to top of valley and walked to corner of field and across top of Whetstone Quarry and track up from '2'. No views across valley, unbroken trees for while walk, up and down Forge Valley. After '6' follow depression down to road. After '7' Seagate Gill dry, good path. Sharp right turn at '8' into lane. Goats in field just before '9'.
