Bradnor Hill Rushock Hill Herrock Hill
Burfa Bank Dolly Green Pen Offa (camp and house)
Description:
66 miles to 73 miles. I parked the car again at Hergest Croft Gardens, but this time just in the lane because the chain was across the entrance to the car park. I walked through the village and up the very steep lane, fields and hamlet of Bradnor Green to England's highest golf course. There was a notice on the path before the fairway: 'Watch for flying golf balls'. The excellent views all around were spoilt by very hazy sunshine, which ruled out photographs, so the next best option was the bungalow 'The Bower'. Some people are lucky to live in such a beautiful area. I walked on the distinctive Dyke for long stretches for most of the remainder of the walk from Rushock Hill to Pen Offa. I picked some bluebells for Sylvia on Burfa Bank. Squirrels and rabbits could be seen on banks and in the woods. It was a long, steady climb on, and by the Dyke from Burfa Farm to Granner Wood on Evenjobb Hill. As I walked down the hill from hilltop plantation on Newcastle Hill to the lane at Beggar's Bush, I could easily see my bike in the hedge when I thought I had hidden it well. I biked back to the car park at 8:30pm.

Hazards:
Care is required in Kington and on Herrock Hill. It was a shame about the haze.
