Good walk through heath and woodland. Beacon Fell, 873 ft, with good views across the hills. One way road system clockwise around fell. Good parking except at obvious busy weekend picnic times. Generally good paths, but care required to select correct path from the many pointing in all directions.
Hazards:
At '8' lane curves to right/ At '12' stile hidden in gully. At '16' follow fence around to left, over wall, bear left to stile.
