South West Coastal Path No. 27 Total Miles:271 Time Taken: Cycle: Distance: Enjoyment: Weather: 1.25 hours 0.75 miles 4 miles 85% Drizzle Wildlife: Seagulls and Butterflies Temp: Cloud: Rain: Visibility: Conditions: 16oC 30% 0% Good Strong Winds Points of Interest: Penzance St Michaels Mount Long Rock Marazion General: Parked car in Marazion side road opposite cemetery and cycled to start of walk at Penzance against a strong head wind. Cycled through Marazion village to cycleway No. 3 alongside railway. Good gravel tracks on top of huge boulders forming sea wall. Dodged the many puddles, after recent heavy rain and the many dog walkers. Wandered down private road by pub, resident soon put me right. Good views of St Michael's Mount and Penzance in the sunshine. Watched train pull out of Penzance Station, going towards London with a huge number of almost empty coaches. Parked bike in cycle rack opposite harbour, by bus station. Walked back to car behind slow walking Italian student visitors. Watched wind surfers enjoying the strong wind and fairly calm sea. Many cars on car park and shoppers in Marazion village centre. Steady ascent up Fore Street and Turnpike Street to cemetery and car parked in residential road opposite.
