Points of Interest and LINKS:
AA Walks Tide Mill River Deben
Kyson Hill Seckford Hospital St Mary's Church
Description:
139 of 205 'AA' Walks completed. Tried to park at Kyson Hill National Trust, but access only via a private road with no turning space. Eventually turned in the drive of last house. The lady of the house was not amused. Parked in lay-by in centre of town, so Sylvia could read her book. Difficult to find bearings in a strange town. Correct way re-assured when I passed the level crossing. Day transformed from a beautiful sunny spring day to a cold breezy cloudy afternoon while walking along the sea wall by River Deban. Walked past Kyson Hill National Trust again and stroppy ladies drive to bridge over railway and deep cutting. After '5' found Cross Trees house and path besides Woodland Trust without any difficulty. After '8' unmade road now made with tarmac, and continues on past the cemetry. After '10' the Shire Hall is obvious but New Street is to the left of the Hotel, almost straight ahead. Could not find Ye Olde Bell and Steelyard Inn at first, but bumped into the Inn in New Steet. Many interesting buildings in town. Tide Mill worth a visit if open.

Location Map: - www.streetmap.co.uk
Start & Finish: Brook Street, Woodbridge

Hazards:
Usual precautions required when walking alongside water, especially around a busy marina and harbour. Watch out for cyclists on sea wall and passages. Care necessary while driving in a strange town, looking for parking spaces.
