Moderately strenuous walk. Good views of surrounding mountains. At '2' field on right slowly being developed, turn right down lane before left bend to distillery. Photo at '3' of distillery was taken as a movie. At '4' take lane down past steps on right, across field to bridge no path between buildings. After bridge take obvious lane to right and continue alongside burn past church yards and distillery to waterfall at '7'. Very little water down waterfall, but height and steepness very impressive. Must be very good during wet weather. After '7' small diversion and shelter to 'giant's chair' but foliage too thick to notice the chair. After '14' take track to right between trees to track by wood path from '14' to '15' stops at seat after approx. a third of way from path. Between trees turn left onto track and right at seat into wood. Shelter in centre of wood with half burnt sleeping bag on seat. Sylvia sat in car writing post cards.
