Excellent bridle track from car park to '5'. Gate head at '4' turn right. Convent now a school, difficult to view carefully. From '5' turn right opposite private road gates. Return to '5' and turn right over style. Ignore tarmac road uphill beside wood to the back to walled garden, muddy in woods. At '7' creater not obvious, continue straight ahead on well maintained good track. At '10' signpost only says 'footpath'. Track used by horses, very muddy at bottom, extremely difficult beyond '11' use field on left of track in possible. After '14' only one path obvious to seat and good track of 'downs way' turn right along way for approx. 400 yards to left path up old steps to car park. Motorway M25 bridge now at '12'.
