Description:
No signpost at '2' but stile obvious. No path across ploughed field, two fields now combined into one. At '5' take tarmac path towards car park, turn right up indistinct path to stile. At '6' follow yellow posts, palace site now a ruined building. At '10' turn sharp left just before first group of pine trees down hidden well defined track. No sea before wood but a new seat just after pine trees. Path through wood is on top of a small ridge. At '11' no stile, follow ridge path through woods. At '12' no national trust sign. Follow path to railing and down to village. Hedge cuttings on path by railings. From '13' visited church only signs of one bell.

On the northern slop of Walton Hill . From Clent village go up the valley between Clent Hill and Walton Hill.

Hazards:
Beware of numerous paths over Clent Hills by the four stones. From St Leonards Church in Clent take path to right of church between wall and house. When broad path ends at '16' take track to left down steep staircase directly to car park.
