Points of Interest and LINKS:
AA Walks Hebden Bridge Blackstone Edge
Heptonstall Crags Eaves Lane Hardcastle Crags
Murking Lane Gibson Mill Hawden Weir
Description:
Very hilly walk, ground muddy after recent rain. At '1' follow musum sign and second sign up steps. At '3' walled lane still exists but now through new small housing estate. At '5' caterpillers hanging from trees, suspended on fine strands of 'silk'. At '8' turn left to 'old finger post' at Slack cross roads. Continue towards Hemptonstall. Turn left down obsure pathway between houses, sign lodged on wall, stone white path. Only one obvious path at '10' to '11'. Long walk to Gibson Mill along a muddy path, made more muddy by tractors carrying stones to renovate path. Old toll charges, in old pence for bridge over door of Gibson Mill. Path obvious to '16' then take rough road to left. At main road '18' turn left and notice steps up for return.

Alderley Edge

Hazards:
Start walk by Hole in the Wall pub on the north side of the river by the bridge Hebden. Car Park entrance at Heptonstall very narrow. Car lost some water in car park because the engine was so warm after long pull up hill.
