St. Mary Magdalene Church - Lillington, Warwickshire, England QUARTER PEAL - Plain Bob Minor .. Start 10:05 am .. Finish 10:48 am Celebrating : New Year's Day 2004Treble.... Martyn Davies 2 .......... Barbara Howes 3 .......... Karen French (Offchurch) 4 .......... John Nutt 5 .......... Derek Harwood Tenor..... Ian Maycock (Conductor)(Cubbington) Ringing only mediocre, with a few good spells but too many poor periods. Plenty of room for improvement. Ringing started reasonably well. A slight hiccup when the conductor called Bob and then immediately corrected himself. I caused a few problems at 3-4 down singles, my rope sight was lacking because I was not following the bell making seconds when I was making thirds. I was relying on my counting which caused the striking to be a little more wayward than normal. The conductor ensured I kept in control on each occasion. The time passed quickly which is always a good sign that the ringers are enjoying themselves. Thanks again to Ian for keeping us together. First Quarter Peal: All ringers have completed numerous Quarters to date. Multiple Quarter Peals: Ringers have completed too many Quarters to count. Weather : Cold and damp, little wind. Ropes : Slightly Damp and very slightly stiff. CLICK HERE - For Recent Quarters Homepage | |||||
